An Eau Claire mother is accused of burning her infant son with a cigarette lighter. Police say an aunt to the three-month old baby called them last month after noticing an injury on the boy that looked like the top of a Bic lighter.

Eau Claire Plan Commission approves two restoration projects

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Two Eau Claire renovation projects have passed another hurdle.The site plan for the Green Tree Hotel was approved by the plan commission Monday night. The design calls for 30 rooms as well as a 75 seat restaurant and bar.Also approved was a site plan for what are being called The Biscuit Loft Apartments.The former parks and recreation building on Oxford Street is being renovated by a Minneapolis developer, plans are for 22 units.
