This morning's air was cold enough to tie the record low temperature for Eau Claire! We bottomed out at 33 degrees, the same daily low measured on May 24, 1917. At that time, Woodrow Wilson was President of the United States and the country had recently joined World War I - a long time ago. Back to weather, high pressure will bring us another sunny day with highs in the middle 60s. Temperatures will not be as cold tonight as cloud cover increases in the Chippewa Valley. We could see some showers move through the area late tonight and Saturday, but the activity will be light. Isolated showers are possible Sunday and Memorial Day, not a washout by any means. Tuesday and Wednesday hold better chances of showers and thunderstorms. Have a great weekend, and travel safely! Meteorologist Nick Grunseth
