Thank you for choosing WQOW.com for weather-related announcements. WQOWs policy is to publish announcements from schools, churches, major employers and government agencies online and on television. These announcements typically affect the most people and are most urgent. We limit our televised cancellation list to these high-priority announcements so our viewers can see them in a timely manner.
Cancellations for other groups and organizations tend to affect fewer people. These announcements are displayed only on WQOW.com, where time and space limitations are not a factor.
Businesses, churches and government agencies that wish to make weather-related announcements can email their announcement to News or call our newsroom at (715) 831-1824.

Slow moving low pressure is finally heading east and will be out of the area by Thursday morning. Canadian high pressure builds into the upper Midwest for the end of the work week, which means much drier air and plenty of sunshine. There is some model discrepancy with regards to the weekend; some computer models keep us completely dry while others bring a few showers into the area. For the time being I'm going with the drier scenario given the residual dry air still around, but have an umbrella handy just in case some showers end up making it this far east.
