Officer Responds to Incident at His Own Home

Posted:

Black River Falls (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin police officer responds to a call at his own home.

A woman from Black River Falls says she came home one day this month to find a stranger hanging out watching TV.  She ran out of the house and called 911.  Her husband, a police officer, was then sent home to investigate.

Derek Nelson of Black River Falls was arrested.  Police say he appeared to be confused, but also say he tried to free himself when they arrested him.  He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.  He's now been charged with trespassing and resisting an officer.
