Bridget Kurtenbach is the internet director at News 18. She joined the team in May 2008.
Bridget is a Chippewa Valley native who has always had a love for community journalism.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in public relations. After college she went to work as the web editor for a pharmacist recruitment publication in Madison. Although she loved the internet work she wanted to write more of her own original content, so she went back to school and earned a degree in print journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
After finishing her second degree, Bridget worked for a small daily newspaper in southern Wisconsin. She loved getting into the community, meeting the people and telling their stories.
Bridget and her husband Patrick (along with their lovable beagle, Brooks, and several fish) live in a historic home in the Third Ward. She also has two horses, Auggie and JT.
In her spare time, Bridget enjoys riding her horses, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She is also a freelance writer for several local publications.
