Eau Claire (WQOW) - An Eau Claire woman died this weekend after crashing her motorcycle in Montana.

The Montana Highway Patrol said the 49-year-old woman was riding on U.S. Highway 2 near Wolf Point, Mont., when she tried to pass another vehicle. At that point, the woman swerved, lost control of her motorcycle and was thrown from the bike. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon. Neither speed or alcohol were a factor.
