St. Croix County (WQOW) - A two-vehicle crash injures one person in Saint Croix County. The crash also killed a horse.

It happened around 9 a.m. Thursday morning at the intersection of State Highway 65 and County Highway N.

The State Patrol says a 2006 Dodge pickup truck, towing a horse trailer, was turning onto N from 65.  The pickup was driven by Joann Nova Yahnke, 32, of Prior Lake, Minn.

A 1990 Kenworth semi driven by Mark John Blair, 54, of Lowry, Minn., was traveling on N and failed to stop at a stop sign.  He then hit Yahnke's truck on the passenger side.

Yahnke suffered unknown injuries as a result of the crash and was taken by ambulance to River Falls Hospital for treatment.  Blair and a passenger in the semi were not hurt.  A horse in Yahnke's trailer, died after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
