Chippewa County (Press Release) - The Chippewa County Highway Department announces the closing of a county bridge this week.
The County Highway J bridge, over Stillson Creek, located between 180th Street and 190th Street, south of Lake Wissota is scheduled to be closed to all traffic beginning the week of August 17 for replacement.
Bridge construction will be by Lunda Construction Company under contract with the Wisconsin DOT. Approach construction will be by the Chippewa County Highway Department.
Posted detour route around the bridge will be 50th Avenue and 190th Street. Construction is expected to take about ten weeks.
