Eau Claire (WQOW) - Almost half of the bars tested by the Barron County Sheriff's Department failed by serving alcohol to minors.
The sheriff's department says that under its direction minors were sent into 23 businesses over the weekend. The sheriff says bartenders in 11 of those bars served alcohol to the minor. Those bars were given citations.
Also, during a check at The Office, a bar in Dallas, the owner was arrested for obstruction and disorderly conduct.
The following bars were cited for non-compliance: Miller Sports Bar (Village of Reeve), Hotel Bar and Trails End (both in the Village of Turtle Lake), Corner Bar, Nezzy's, Club Cumberland and Skiddies (all of Cumberland), The Big House (Barron), Chickers and The Office (both of Dallas) and The Webb (Village of Cameron).
