St. Croix County (WQOW) - A St. Croix County man gets probation after police say he attacked a 16-year-old girl along a highway.
Jason Alwin was sentenced to ten years of probation, but he won't serve any time. He must also register as a sex offender and maintain absolute sobriety.
In April, the teen told police she was walking along Highway C in the Town of Star Prairie, when Alwin came up to her, grabbed her and tried to drag her into the woods. She told investigators she punched Alwin in the face and was able to get away. Alwin was later arrested.
Investigators say Alwin gave them four different stories about what happened.
