Jackson County (WQOW) - A driver claims a confrontation on the road ends with shots fired into the air.
David Scheffler, from Greenwood, has been charged. A driver claims that Scheffler's truck cut them off in Warrens as Scheffler was leaving Cranfest on Sunday.
The driver told Jackson County deputies that Scheffler ran them off the road. That driver followed him until he stopped near Millston. They claim he got out of his truck and fired two shots in the air with a handgun while telling them to get out of there.
Deputies say Scheffler told them the other driver was threatening him so he got his gun and fired two rounds into the ground.
Scheffler has been charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
