CAMP DOUGLAS, Wis. (AP) - The Wisconsin National Guard says about 60 of its members will return from a four-month deployment in Southwest Asia on Monday.
Family members and friends will welcome the guard members at Volk Field in Camp Douglas in Juneau County, where they are expected to arrive Monday afternoon.
The troops have been providing satellite and ground communications and performing other missions as part of the 71st Expeditionary Air Control Squadron.
The Guard says there are currently about 3,700 Guard members on active duty in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world. Another 6,500 are in the state or nation.
