Eau Claire (WQOW) - A young Washburn mother has been charged in the death of her 7-month-old daughter.
Tara Amraen, 25, was arrested after her baby drowned in a bathtub at her home. Bayfield County authorities say Amraen is accused of leaving her daughter in a baby chair in the bathtub, while she went to a friend's apartment in the same building to watch TV. Authorities say when she returned, the baby was unresponsive.
She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Amraen has been charged with second-degree reckless homicide.
