Eau Claire (WQOW) - A woman who was driving with her infant grandchild in the car has been arrested for drunk driving. Officers say they found her passed out in the car.

Muriel Gharis of Siren was arrested a week ago in Barron County. Witnesses say they saw Gharis almost hit a vehicle before stopping in a Cumberland neighborhood.

They say Gharis fell down while holding the baby in a car seat. They went out to help as a neighbor called 911. They say Gharis later passed out in the car.

Investigators say Gharis told them she deserved to be arrested. She's been convicted of DUI 4 times.
