UPDATE 1: Elk Mound bank robbed Wednesday afternoon

Elk Mound (WQOW) - For the fourth time in two weeks another western Wisconsin bank is robbed.  

Authorities say someone robbed the Bremer Bank in Elk Mound around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. They're not saying much but we do know the suspect got away on foot.

Here's a description of him: he's a white male around 30-years-old and 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall. He was wearing a dark baseball cap and green jacket. 

Bank employees say the man walked into the bank and demanded money from them and threatened that he had a gun. However, they say he never showed them a gun. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

The Elk Mound Police Department, along with the Dunn County Sheriff's Department, FBI and State Patrol were all called in to help. 

We did talk to Sheriff Dennis Smith a little while after the bank was robbed, he and other deputies were going door to door looking for any information that could help.

Elk Mound (WQOW) - News 18 has confirmed that the Bremer Bank in Elk Mound was robbed Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m.

The suspect got away on foot. The Dunn County Sheriff's Department, State Patrol and FBI were all called to the scene.

This is the fourth western Wisconsin bank robbed in the past 2 weeks.
