Deputies investigate death at Dunn County farm

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A death investigation is underway at a Dunn County farm.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Department says a worker was operating a skid steer Monday morning when it went into a manure pit and overturned. The pit was about 7.5 feet deep. The farm is located in the Town of Eau Galle.

Candelario Z. Rayon was killed. Officials say he was a migrant worker from Mexico and had worked on the farm for about a year. He was 31.

The Dunn County Medical examiner, OSHA and an interpreter from the Menomonie Fire Department all responded to the scene.
