Chippewa County (WQOW) - A local county hopes to get a jump on the future and you can help.
Chippewa County recently completed a report to identify the challenges the county will face in the future.
One of the things the study found is that the county's population 65 and older is expected to grow from 14.6 percent to 23.8 percent by 2030. That increase could have a big impact on the county's available work force.
Keeping younger workers in Chippewa County is one of the things the county will be looking at when it meets this week for six strategic planning workshops. The public is welcome to attend and give their thoughts on the county's future.
Here is a list of times and locations for the six hearing:
October 27th
Four Corners Restaurant in Cadott at 3 p.m.
Stanley Fire Station in Stanley at 7 p.m.
October 28th
New Auburn Town Hall in New Auburn at 3 p.m.

October 29th
