Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - "Till Death Do Us Part" takes on a whole new meaning for one area couple.
When Mendy and Craig Oliver found out October 31 fell on a Saturday, the Halloween buffs decided it would be the perfect day for their wedding.
From a wedding march that was anything but traditional, to "I do" guests said they wouldn't have imagined Mendy and Craig's wedding any other way.
Wedding guest Mary Hommen said, "They both love horror movies and spooky things so this fits them perfectly." Her husband Chuck Hommen agreed, "Oh it absolutely fits their personality, those two are really fun."
The self-proclaimed Halloween buffs got engaged four years ago. It wasn't until they realized Halloween 2009 fell on a Saturday that they set the date.
Craig Oliver said, "We like the scary movies we like the decorations, we think it's a lot of fun and it's just kind of fun to be somebody we're not for just one day out of the year."
And when it came to wedding planning the Oliver's said they had only one thing in mind, "Fun, just fun, non-traditional. Candy, kids anything goes."
From goblins and witches to everything in between nearly 200 guests helped Mendy and Craig celebrate a Halloween night they won't soon forget.
