Barron County (WQOW) - A teen from Barron is okay after he's hit by a semi on his bike.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday night on Highway 8, east of Barron.
Deputies say Austin Wold, 16, of Barron was traveling west on a bicycle on Highway 8, and tried to cross to the other side of the highway, to ride facing traffic. They say he was then hit by a semi driven by Gerald Trent, 59, of Pine City, Minn.
Wold was flown to an area hospital for treatment. He suffered only minor injuries and was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
