Being a lunch buddy is easy and fun. It only takes one lunch hour a week to be a kid again and make a difference in the life of a child. A Lunch Buddy volunteer visits the child at school once a week to eat lunch, play games, and share stories with a child. It’s a great lunchtime get away that will leave you refreshed and re energized for an afternoon at work.
By becoming a Lunch Buddy, you can make a difference by December! The goal is to double the number of Lunch Buddy ‘Bigs’ by December 15 in order to provide more mentors for the children in our community. That means finding 60 more volunteers who can spend one lunch time a week with a child. The Make a Difference by December campaign is sponsored by U.S. Bank. To sign-up to attend a volunteer orientation session or for more information, call 715-835-0161 or email ashley.bobka@bbbs.org.
