WQOW TV: Eau Claire, WI NEWS18 News, Weather, and SportsChetek breaks ground on nursing home project

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Chetek is breaking ground this week on a renovation project to the city-owned nursing home.
They were awarded more than $2.8 million in assistance for the project. The city clerk calls it a loan that would need to be paid back. Worried about the interest on the loan, they accepted $1.9 million instead.
Chetek will start repaying the stimulus funds after construction is completed which the city is hoping will be next year.
