Eau Claire (WQOW) - An appeals court ruling means a sexual predator will remain committed to a mental institution.
A state appeals court denied a request Thursday by Eric Frankhauser, a sexual predator who was committed to a mental institution.
Frankhauser claimed the Barron County judge who committed him should not have relied on his own prediction that he would eventually re-offend if he were released.
Frankhauser admitted to sexually assaulting approximately 22 children.
