Eau Claire (WQOW) - Two deputies and a DNR warden are clear from any criminal charges after a fatal shooting.
The Chippewa County district attorney reviewed the shooting that killed Rudy Frenzer. Frenzer and two other men are accused of robbing the Dairyland State Bank in Exeland three weeks ago.
A high speed chase ended in shots fired between the suspects and officers. The Chippewa County district attorney says the two deputies and warden acted reasonably and that no criminal charges will be filed. The Rusk County sheriff says this was the result he expected. He says they had no choice but to fire on Frenzer.
The two other alleged robbers were both arrested and are in custody. Steven Willard has been charged with armed robbery. His next court appearance is November 30th. Robert McCallie has also been charged with armed robbery. He'll be in court in February.
