PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - The Canadian Pacific Railway's annual holiday train is set to start its U.S. run this week, with several stops scheduled in upstate New York.

The train decorated with thousands of holiday lights will stop at Rouses Point, on the Canadian border in northern New York, at 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. It then heads south for a stop Saturday evening in Scranton, Pa.

The train has stops scheduled next weekend in Binghamton, Oneonta, Cobleskill, Delanson (duh-LAN'-suhn) and Schenectady (skeh-NEHK'-ta-dee). Next Monday the holiday train stops in Saratoga Springs, Fort Edward, Whitehall, Ticonderoga, Port Henry and Plattsburgh.

Stops in the Midwest and six Canadian provinces are set for December.

At each stop, live music is offered while visitors are encouraged to donate cash or food for local food banks.
