
Chippewa County (Press Release) - Police in Cadott receive a report of a man impersonating fire personnel to gain entry into a home.
On the afternoon of Saturday, November 21, a man impersonating a fireman knocked on a residence door, just outside of Cadott, and falsely identified himself as a fireman performing fire inspections. The subject told the complainant that he wanted to gain access to the home to check for fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
The complainant reported that the subject was suspicious and had no identification. The complainant stated that after the subject was denied entry to the home, he walked around the home looking into windows and left on foot without further incident.
The suspect is a white male, around 5'5" and weighs about 170 pounds. He is described as clean shaven with no visible piercing's or tattoos. He was wearing blue jeans and a white button-up shirt (attempting to appear as fire department personnel).
