EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - Charges are filed against a woman whose children were injured in a crash in Polk County.
Investigators say they believe Jenny Jasperson of Star Prairie failed to buckle her children into their car seats.
Her car rolled into a ditch last April. One child who was thrown out of the car suffered a traumatic brain injury. Jasperson told investigators both children were in car seats but they believe the buckles were not fastened and appeared to be stuffed behind the seats.
They also claim Jenny was going through mood swings after the crash and was asking for more of her medication.
A report from the crime lab shows there were three prescription drugs in her system at the time, including one that's commonly used to sedate patients before surgery. She'll be in court next month.
