Chippewa County snowmobile trail conditions

December 28, 2009--  Portions of the trail system to :OPEN in Chippewa County

• All trails East of trail 31 (including 31)

• Old Abe Trail

• All trails South of trail 18 East of the Rough Rider trail (Including the Rough Rider trail)

• The Weiser trail South from Bloomer to trail 18.

• The Shortcut trail North from Bloomer to trail 33

• Trail 33 from Eau Claire County Dunn County  and on to CTH A

• Trail 14 from Highway 64 to and North on  trail 14A

• Bloomer Snohawk trail from the shortcut trail to Blue Diamond Trail and on to trail 14

• Bloomer Snohawk trail to trail 31

The above trails are being opened for the purpose of packing the swamps on December 29, 2009 at 8:00 AM.  The groomers will be out on these trails, but not on swamps.  After packing the swamps  (and freezing) the groomers will groom them.  The trails listed ABOVE, will OPEN on January 1, 2010 at 8:00 AM.

Trail 14 East of the intersection of 14A to Rusk County will REMAIN CLOSED until the end of bow hunting season.

Portions of theTrail System to REMAIN CLOSED until rerouted, or corn is removed:

• Bloomer Trail from 175^th Avenue to intersection 22 on the Bloomer Snohawk trail. 

• Trail 33 from STH 64 to CTH A.
