EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - Two people from Minnesota have been charged in the drug overdose death of man in Dunn County.
Adrian Albrecht of Downing, was found dead in his home on New Year's Eve morning. The autopsy shows he overdosed on heroin. Investigators say a man told them he was with Adrian the day before in the Twin Cities.
He said Adrian spent time on the phone trying to buy heroin from two people who were later identified as Ricky Roiz and Jessica Quirt.
Investigators then taped a phone call between an informant and Quirt. In that call, investigators asked about the drugs that were sold to Adrian and then asked for more. A sting was then set up.
Arrest warrants have been issued for both in Dunn County. They're charged with reckless homicide.
A few weeks ago, Minnesota law enforcement held a press conference in which officers warned the public about a surge in drug use specifically heroin.
