FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says it has helped 10 people in rural areas along the Red River stranded in their homes by high water.
Spokesman Lionel Bryant says one family was ferried from their home near Harwood on Friday. He says five people in a disabled boat near Oxbow were towed to shore, to an awaiting car.
Bryant says airboat crews on patrol came across the people. He says there have been no emergency calls.
Bryant says the Coast Guard has dedicated about 50 people, three airboats and two helicopters for the flood effort.
