ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A verdict in the defamation case brought by former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura won't come until at least Monday. Jurors have gone home for the weekend. They're weighing whether Ventura should get money from the estate of a military sniper who was killed in a Texas shooting last year. Chris Kyle wrote a book in which he said he punched out Ventura at a bar.

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - Cook County Attorney Tim Scannell will be sentenced in September for sexual misconduct. A jury found Scannell guilty after he was accused of kissing and touching a 17-year-old girl whose parents he knows. Scannell became a public figure after he was shot at the county courthouse in 2011 by a man he'd successfully prosecuted.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Police in Minneapolis have arrested a juvenile in connection to a shooting that followed a confrontation on a city bus. The shooting Thursday night in north Minneapolis left one man dead. Police say it appears the shooting stemmed from an earlier confrontation between two people on a Metro Transit bus.

MINNETONKA BEACH, Minn. (AP) - A motorist has been arrested after police say he struck and killed a woman who was walking near Lake Minnetonka west of Minneapolis. Orono police say the woman was walking in Minnetonka Beach when a car struck her. Officers say alcohol may have contributed to the Thursday night crash.
