Eau Claire (WQOW) - Jobs will be lost as a local car dealer closes one of its locations.
Markquart is merging two of its dealerships. As of February 2nd, the Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac dealership in Chippewa Falls will merge with the one on business 53 in Lake Hallie.
After the merger, the company will be known as Markquart Motors and will do business out of the current facility in Lake Hallie. Markquart says about 10 percent of its staff, or fewer than 20 jobs, will be cut.
