Gregory Polanco homered, Chris Stewart added three hits and the Pittsburgh Pirates completed a four-game sweep of the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers with a 4-2 victory on Thursday.    The Pirates have won 11 of 13 and moved within three games of the Brewers. Max Moroff got his first career game-ending hit with a single in the 10th inning, lifting the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 on Wednesday night.    Moroff raised his right arm and ran to first base while his seventh big league hit scored Josh Harrison. Wisconsin's Paul Chryst on Dodd Trophy watch list

Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst is the latest member of the Badgers to land on a preseason awards watch list.    Chryst was one of 19 coaches named to the Dodd Trophy preseason watch list. Organizers say the award goes to a coach whose has success on the field while also stressing the importance of scholarship, leadership and integrity.    The Badgers open preseason camp late next week.

Packers' Allison suspended for one game

The Packers will be without the services of receiver Geronimo Allison for the season opener. The NFL announced Allison has been suspended without pay for the first game of the season due to a violation of the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Allison pleaded no contest to a charge of possession of marijuana.

DeKraay wins Madison Women's City Championship Video included

Sarah DeKraay won her second Madison Women's City Championship on Wednesday at Hawks Landing Golf Club. DeKraay came into the day tied for the lead with Pat Roisum. DeKraay was able to pull away over the final nine holes to win by three strokes. She last won the title in 2008.

Wisconsin assistant basketball coach Howard Moore says his uncle, Leroy, has been shot and killed in Chicago.    Moore said on Twitter that Leroy Moore was caught in crossfire on Tuesday night. He says he is stunned and devastated by the news.    Howard Moore is from Chicago.     The elderly golf fan who died while attending the U.S. Open in Wisconsin had lost his wife of 68 years earlier in the week.    Ninety-four-year-old Marshall "Chick" Jacobs died Friday in the arms of his son, Bill, after becoming unresponsive at the 6th green. Just three days earlier, Lucille Jacobs, died after experiencing complications from a broken hip.
