Mount Horeb boys soccer claims state crown

The Mount Horeb boys soccer team got the redemption they've been dreaming of for the past year. After falling to Delavan-Darien in the WIAA Division 3 state championship game a year ago, the Vikings returned the favor by besting Delavan-Darien 2-1 for Mount Horeb's second state championship in three seasons.

Lakeside Lutheran girls volleyball claims first state title

The Lakeside Lutheran girls volleyball team was staring defeat in the face but didn't blink. Down two sets, the Warriors rallied to claim their first girls volleyball state championship. Lakeside Lutheran defeated Luxemburg-Casco 19-25, 13-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-10 in the WIAA Division 2 championship.

Whitefish Bay rolls past Oregon boys soccer in title game

Nationally-ranked Whitefish Bay had little trouble with Oregon in the WIAA Division 2 boys soccer state championship game. Whitefish Bay scored six goals in the first half and held on for the 6-1 victory. Johnny Auer scored the lone goal for Oregon. The Panthers finish their season with a 17-5-3 record. More>>

Mount Horeb boys soccer returns to state title game

The Mount Horeb boys soccer team is headed back to the state championship game. The Vikings bested Amery 5-1 in the WIAA Division 2 semifinals. Jaden Neumann netted four goals for Mount Horeb. Kyler Donovan also scored. Mason Helbig had 10 saves. Mount Horeb will face Delavan-Darien in the state championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. More>>

Lakeside Lutheran girls volleyball advances to state championship Video included

The Lakeside Lutheran girls volleyball team ended Catholic Memorial's three-year run as state champions. The Warriors swept Catholic Memorial in the WIAA Division 2 semifinals, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-20. Amber Rowoldt led Lakeside Lutheran with 19 kills.  The Warriors will play for the state championship on Saturday at 2 p.m. More>>

Waterloo girls volleyball falls in state semifinals

The Waterloo girls volleyball team dreamed of bringing home a third state championship in the last four seasons. However, that dream came to a heartbreaking end in the WIAA Division 3 semifinals. Lake Country Lutheran rallied for a five-set victory, 25-11, 22-25, 19-25, 25-17 and 16-14. Brooke Mosher led the Pirates with 20 kills. Claire Mosher added 11 kills. Waterloo finishes the season with a 27-16 record. More>>

The Benton girls volleyball team's first trip to the WIAA state tournament ended in the Division 4 semifinals. The Zephyrs were swept by Lourdes Academy 25-23, 25-20, 25-15. Benton finishes the season with a 25-3 record. More>>

Madison West boys soccer falls in state semifinals

The Madison West boys soccer team's unexpected run to the WIAA Division 1 state tournament ended in the semifinals. The Regents fell to Marquette 2-1 in overtime. Paolo Gratton scored the lone goal for the Regents. Madison West finishes the season with 13-6-1 record. More>>

Waunakee volleyball falls in state quarterfinals

The postseason run came to an end for the Waunakee girls volleyball team. The Warriors fell to Oconomowoc in straight sets in the WIAA Division 1 quarterfinals 25-15, 25-12, 25-22. Kaleigh Roepke led Waunakee with 10 kills. Warriors finish the season with a 44-8 record. More>>

Oregon boys soccer advances to state championship game

The Oregon boys soccer team survived a thriller against Waukesha West in the WIAA Division 2 semifinals. After playing to a 2-2 draw through two overtimes, the Panthers advanced with a 4-3 shootout victory. Zach Pasley notched both goals for Oregon.

Milton's Seeman claims state golf championship

Milton's Mia Seeman held off all challengers on the second day of the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament at University Ridge Golf Course. She claimed the individual state championship by two strokes by shooting a combined score of 145 through the two-day tournament. Milton finished second in the team competition. Verona was sixth. Middleton took eighth.

The Edgewood girls golf team made a strong run at a WIAA Division 2 State Championship at University Ridge Golf Course. However, the Crusaders settled for second behind Aquinas. Grace Welch led the way for Edgewood by finishing in fifth place in the individual standings.

The Middleton and Verona girls golf teams went shot-for-shot at the WIAA Division 1 sectional tournament. After tying for the team title, Middleton was ultimately declared the winner on a scorecard tiebreaker.

Belmont only managed four hits in the contest. Lydia Leahy drove in two runs.
