The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Southern Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 230 AM CST Tuesday

* At 805 PM CST, river gauges indicated ice jams along the Platte
and Grant Rivers. In addition, local law enforcement reported
water over a few rural roads.

Flooding of low lying areas is occurring along the Platte and Grant
Rivers, mainly near Burton and Rockville. The flooding is expected
to continue into the overnight hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Sugar River At Brodhead.
* At 8:00 PM Monday the stage was 5.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 7.3 feet by
tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
late Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 7.6 feet...A stage of 7.4 feet can be considered to be
about a 50 percent chance flood meaning there is a 50 percent
chance in any given year of the river reaching this level. There is
widespread agricultural and lowland flooding in the Brodhead area.
Downstream in the Avon Bottoms area of Rock County, there is
flooding in Sugar River Park.

The East Branch Pecatonica River Near Blanchardville.
* At 8:00 PM Monday the stage was 11.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 11.6 feet by
tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Floodwaters cover a portion of Highway H
and floodwaters are into McKellar Park in Blanchardville.
