stage Monday evening.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Water may begin to flood the park and
campground area in the old section of town.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Clayton County in northeastern Iowa...
Grant County in southwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 945 PM CDT Saturday

* At 131 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported that several roads
remained closed in Grant County due to flooding, including State
Highway 81 from Cassville to Beetown. The Grant River crested at
26.45 feet near Burton earlier this morning, setting an all-time
record.

* Some locations that will continue to experience flooding include...
Platteville, Lancaster, Guttenberg, Elkader, Cuba City, Hazel
Green, Dickeyville, Cassville, Garnavillo, Bloomington,
Farmersburg, Georgetown, Beetown, Arthur, Potosi, Livingston,
Ellenboro, Glen Haven, Bagley, and Tennyson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

* At 10:15 AM Saturday the stage was 15.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to crest near 20.1 feet Monday
afternoon and fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 19.4 feet...Some homes in Martintown are affected by
floodwaters. Highways MM and West Indies Road upstream in the
Browntown area are flooded. Martintown Road and West River Road in Martintown are flooded as is Highway 73 about 1 mile downstream in Winslow Illinois.

* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Highways 23 and 81 are flooded in
Darlington. A portion of Main Street in Darlington is flooded. A
good part of the Lafayette County Fairgrounds is flooded.
