Town of Hallie (WQOW) -- A Chippewa County home is a complete loss after a fire.
The blaze broke out Wednesday evening at a two-story house in the Town of Hallie on 35th Avenue. Firefighters say when they got to the scene the basement and part of the first floor were already on fire.
The location of the house made it difficult to get water to the home, because the lot was not near a fire hydrant and it is back in the woods.
Captain John Neihart with the Chippewa Fire District says, "The road is 3/4 of a mile long and small, so that significantly slows down the operation of shuttling water in."
Crews say no one was hurt and no family members were at home at the time of the fire.
