  1. Cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty. One of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed in this country, rhinoplasty can be used to change nose appearance and/or resolve breathing issues.
  2. Surgery for facial aging. Normal aging causes changes in the face. Wrinkles deepen, jowls become saggy and brows dip down over drooping eyelids. Face-lifts, brow lifts and eyelid lifts can restore a more youthful appearance to the face and neck.
  3. Scar revision and facial trauma. Burns, acne and trauma can cause unattractive facial scarring. Careful selection of procedures and techniques can reduce and often remove the scars and restore a patient's outward appearance and inward self-confidence.
  4. Eyelid Surgery - Eyelid surgery (called blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove fat, excess skin, and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel. If drooping eyelids interfere with your vision, insurance may cover the procedure. Blepharoplasty won't remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under your eyes, or lift sagging eyebrows. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or brow lift.
  5. Forehead/Brow Lift  - A forehead or brow lift is a surgical procedure done to minimize forehead creases, a furrowed forehead, and frown lines, which create a chronically tired, sad, or angry look. A brow lift will also help to significantly reduce or remove the drooping of eyebrows and excess hooding of the upper eyelids. These things are able to be accomplished by removing excess tissue, altering the muscles, and tightening the forehead skin. A brow lift is traditionally done through a long incision across the top of the head. In many cases, Dr. Banich is able to use the endoscopic method where a special scope is able to be used through small incisions.
  6. Ear Surgery. Correction of prominent ears (otoplasty) is a surgical procedure designed to set prominent ears closer to the head. It is most commonly done for ears that appear to be sticking out farther than normal due to a condition since birth. In this case it is usually done on school age children although it is also done on adults who have suffered with this since childhood. Other congenital ear abnormalities or trauma-induced abnormalities may also be corrected.
  7. Rhinoplasty - Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. Insurance will often cover the portion of the procedure to correct.
