Cell Phone Stalking: Man Must Turn Over Cell Phone to Authorities

Posted:
Eau Claire (WQOW) - A New Auburn man will be handing over his cell phone to authorities after he's accused of stalking a woman.

Scott Deraitus has been charged with intimidating a victim and stalking. He's accused of leaving 37 text messages and 44 voice messages on a woman's cell phone over the course of several hours recently.

The criminal complaint says one threatening message warned the woman to watch her back.   The woman also believes Deraitus broke into her home. He'll be in court Thursday.
