Ladysmith (WQOW)- The Rusk County Sheriff's Department released video today of a high speed chase that ended with a bank robbery suspect being shot and killed.

The bank robbery happened back in October in Exeland. Steven Willard and Robert McCallie allegedly robbed the Dairyland State Bank, while Rudy Frenzer drove the getaway car. Willard and McCallie eventually got out of the car and took off on foot, but Frenzer led authorities on a high speed chase across Sawyer County and into Rusk County.

In the video, from a DNR Warden's truck, you can see Frenzer stop the car and fire 2 shots at the warden and then drive off again.

Later, the video shows deputies running Frenzer off the road to stop him. Frenzer begins shooting, and authorities fire back, eventually ending his life.

After an independent investigation, the DNR warden and two Rusk County Sheriff's deputies that fired shots were cleared.

Willard and McCallie face federal charges in the robbery.
