Creating Sitting Areas in the Garden

Patios and decks provide wonderful space to sit, relax and enjoy our landscape. With easy access, this deck is perfect for enjoying the morning sun and nearby water garden.

On hot summer days this stand-alone patio situated in the shade of mature trees is the space to be. The round patio repeats the curves of the beds that outline the yard.

But don't limit yourself. This cozy sitting area is right next to a busy street. They used evergreens to block the noise and create a bit of privacy. 

This single bench is perched on the edge of the front yard. What a great place to take a break and enjoy your handiwork.

And if life gets to be a bit much – find a quiet place. This natural planting and the sound of water create a great space to read a book.
