DENVER (AP) - Gabriel Landeskog scored twice and Semyon Varlamov stopped 30 shots, lifting the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild Saturday night and a 2-0 series lead. The Wild were unable to contain the quickness of teenager Nathan MacKinnon, who had a goal and three assists. Game 3 is Monday in Minnesota.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Bruce Chen labored through five innings before the Kansas City Royals' bullpen took over, shutting down the Minnesota Twins the rest of the way in a 5-4 victory Saturday. The Royals have won five straight after getting swept last weekend in Minnesota.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Ryan Braun hit two homers, including a two-run shot with two outs in the ninth inning that sent the Milwaukee Brewers over the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-7 Saturday night. Braun has five home runs this season after being suspended for the final 65 games last year in the Biogenesis drug scandal.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings are contributing another $1.2 million to the new stadium to put in a bigger video board on the facility's west end and for other video-related upgrades. The funding was approved Friday by the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2016.
