UPDATE: Police searching for man who allegedly stabbed woman in Osseo

Osseo (WQOW) - Police are releasing the name of a suspect who they say may have stabbed a woman in Osseo, and they're asking for your help in tracking him down.

David McGee Junior is wanted for questioning. Osseo Police say the woman identified her attacker as McGee. Police say the Saint Paul man went to the woman's apartment on Rose Lane, and the two had a verbal confrontation. He then allegedly stabbed her several times. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Police say McGee fled after the incident.  They believe he headed for Minnesota.  Police there have been contacted to help locate him.

They say the public is not in danger.  If you have any information about this case or the location of David McGee, call authorities at (715) 597-2481.

It happened Thursday afternoon. Police say the man, whose name has not been released, went to the woman's apartment on Rose Lane and the two had a verbal confrontation. He then allegedly stabbed her several times. Her injuries are not-life threatening. Police say she was able to drive herself to the hospital. She was treated and later released.

Police say the man fled after the incident. They believe he headed for Minnesota. Police there have been contacted to help locate him.
