Hudson (WQOW) - Three debates are set between the candidates in a recall election, but if you want to be there in person, you may be out of luck.
The first debate between the Incumbent Republican Senator Sheila Harsdorf and the challenger Democrat Shelly Moore is set for Monday, July 25. It will be held at the River Channel Community Access TV Studio in Hudson.
The host and moderator of the event is the Hudson Patch, an online news site. About 50 people will be allowed to sit in, and many of the tickets will be divvied up between the two parties.
Later that week, the West Wind Supper Club in River Falls will host a forum that begins at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. The River Falls Chamber is behind that event.
Admission is $15, which includes breakfast. When WQOW News 18 asked whether the fee would be waived for those who didn't want to eat, WQOW News 18 was told it would be. But a chamber representative says they've had so many registrations so far, they don't think they'll have space for those who want to attend without paying.
The final debate will air on Wisconsin Public Radio in Eau Claire. That will happen on Thursday, August 4, beginning at 5:00 p.m. That will be a live call-in show.
Voters in the 10th Senate District will go to the polls on August 9.
