Osseo Fairchild (WQOW)- The school district of Osseo-Fairchild is completing the process of permanently removing the "chieftain" logo and nickname from the district.
In July of 2010 the Department of Public Instruction gave the district one year to remove its logo. On Monday the Osseo-Fairchild superintendent announced that from July 17, 2011 forward, any reference to the "chieftain" logo or nickname is no longer allowed by the district as per the DPI ruling.
