Absentee votes in recall election starting to trickle in

Western Wisconsin (WQOW) - Dozens of voters are already making their voice heard in a western Wisconsin recall election. 

Monday was the first day to vote absentee in the 10th Senate District recall election.  Democrat Shelly Moore is challenging incumbent Sheila Harsdorf for her seat.  

So far, the City of Menomonie Clerk says 26 people have voted in her office the first two days.  In Hudson, 35 people have voted at the city clerk's office.  And in River Falls 48 people have voted at the office with another 157 voting absentee through the mail.  A total of 31 people have voted absentee in New Richmond. 

Residents in the 10th Senate District can vote absentee until August 5th, with the recall election taking place on August 9th.
