1,200 employers planning to give raises

WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- You may have a chance for a raise next year.

1,200 U.S. employers surveyed said they plan to increase workers' salaries in 2012.

Half of the businesses that plan to give raises said they plan to do so in order to retain top talent.

The survey was done by Mercer, a human resources consulting firm.
