Chippewa Valley (WQOW) - A major meth bust in the Chippewa Valley. Eight people were arrested during raids in Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire yesterday.  SWAT teams and officers from area departments searched six homes, and seized about a quarter-pound of methamphetamine, along with guns, and psychedelic mushrooms.  The arrests come after several months of investigation by the West Central Drug Task Force. Police say two of the men, Travis Kummer and Jason Draves, were responsible for up to 13 pounds of meth being sold in the Chippewa Valley over the past year-and-a-half.

Police are still searching for three suspects.  They say some of suspects in the case have past, or current, connections to the menace-of-destruction gang. Several of those arrested appeared in court today, and were released on signature bonds.
