Madison (WQOW)- Republican lawmakers want to review a decision about elections to see if it should stick.
UW-system students can use their student IDs to vote under the state's new voter ID law. However, IDs for many universities failed to meet the state's standards of having a signature and expiration date. Recently, the government accountability board ruled that universities could put stickers on ID cards and still be in compliance with new voting requirements.
Today, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and his brother, Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, called a meeting of a special legislative committee to look into the board's decision. That meeting will happen on Tuesday.
