Eau Claire (WQOW) - A local fraternity took the phrase "freezin for a reason" to a whole new level Wednesday, holding a Dunk-A-Thon outside for charity.
UW-Eau Claire's Phi Gamma Delta members raised money for the American Red Cross by making people pay to throw balls at the dunk tank. And not even the cold temperatures could slow down those brave frat boys waiting to be dunked.
"They are all pretty cold. They like it. It's fun. It's a good time to hang out with your brothers but it's still freezing," says Phi Gamma Delta President Nick Tscherne. "The ice house, with the little heater in it keeps us going."
The fraternity says it hopes to raise $3,000 for the Red Cross.
