Drug bust in Barron County


RICE LAKE (Press Release from Rice Lake Police Dept.) - On Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at approximately 5:37 am, Rice Lake Police Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment on the north end of the City of Rice Lake which resulted in the arrest of three individuals, two males, ages 23 and 21 and a 21 year old female.

In the subsequent search of the residence and the persons involoved, officers found US currency ($579), 3.79 grams of methamphetamine, plus trace amounts; 1.49 grams of marijuana, plus trace amounts, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and packaging-weighing devices conducive to illegal drug distribution.

Charges are pending with the Barron County District Attorney's office for:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession with intent to distribute-methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver within 1,000' of a school
  • Bail jumping misdemeanor
  • Bail jumping felony
  • Obstructing an officer
